Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and founder of Global Tech Venture (GTV). GTV is a global network of business accelerators that support entrepreneurship in the technology space. GTV uses it’s network, programs and processes to identify, coach and accelerate startups that would like to compete in a global marketplace. To achieve this goal, GTV focuses on three areas that are critical to an entrepreneur’s success:
- Developing and Supporting an entrepreneurial ecosystem
- Developing and supporting an entrepreneurial community
- Identifying and accelerating startups that want to compete in a global marketplace
Kayvan is also the President of AlwaysOn, a national media company that “Networks the Global Silicon Valley” through a series of executive conferences that brings together Entrepreneurs, investors, large corporations and professional services providers for the purpose of funding raising, business development and networking. AlwaysOn is also in the process for building a social network for entrepreneurs.
Prior to Global Tech Venture, Kayvan Baroumand was the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Plug and Play Tech Center. In this role, Kayvan was responsible for Plug and Play’s multiple business divisions providing early stage technology companies accelerated access to angel, institutional and corporate venture funding, flexible real estate services, datacenter services, product development, corporate development, government partnerships, recruiting services, events, legal and financial services all under one roof to help build tomorrow’s technology leaders.
Prior to Plug and Play, Kayvan was an Investment Manager at Amidzad Ventures, a seed stage investment company with a portfolio of over 50 early stage companies. Some of the notable investments in the portfolio include companies like Danger (acquired by Microsoft), Paypal (acquired by ebay) and Sendori (acquired by ask.com).
