Peter Coffee

Peter Coffee is VP and Head of Platform Research at salesforce.com inc. He joined the company four years ago, after 18 years as a senior contributor to the enterprise IT journals eWEEK and PC Week. Peter is based near Los Angeles, but spends most of his time in other places with leaders in enterprise and government building the global community of development on cloud platforms. Peter has spent 28 years in IT roles as a developer, consultant and educator, including teaching appointments in computer science at UCLA and in IT management and business analytics at two graduate schools of business; he previously worked in project management roles for ten years at Exxon and the Aerospace Corporation, and holds an engineering degree from MIT and an MBA from Pepperdine University.
