Danny Crichton
Danny Crichton is a graduate of Stanford University, majoring in Mathematical and Computational Sciences with Honors in Science, Technology and Society. His honors thesis, entitled, “Academic Revolution and Regional Innovation: The Case of Computer Science at Stanford 1957-1970,” investigated university-industry relations within the context of Silicon Valley and received the Firestone Award for Undergraduate Research. Based on his research, he is currently developing two related articles focusing on the development of artificial intelligence at Stanford and the rise of industry relations from the university’s Computer Science department. Danny’s research focuses on urban planning, regional economics, and the connections between universities and local economic development. Next year, he will continue his work as a visiting researcher at KAIST in Daejeon, South Korea on a Fulbright fellowship.
