Marcelo Amaral
Marcelo Amaral is Economist, M.Sc and D.Sc in Production Engineering by Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. He did postdoctoral studies at São Paulo University. Marcelo is specialist in Project Management oriented to Technology Innovation and worked in several organizations as Electric Energy Research Center (CEPEL), Federation of Industries of The State of Rio de Janeiro (FIRJAN) and Centre for Mineral Technology (CETEM). He also was partner from CAN Eventos, AMG Research & Project, Rio BMF (Mr Quandt) e iSzabo Consulting and consultant from regional development projects. Since 2006 he is a professor at the Fluminense Federal University (UFF), Brazil; head of THERG – Triple Helix Research Group (www.triple-helix.uff.br). From 2009 to 2010, Marcelo was manager of the International Institute of Triple Helix, hosted in La Salle University, in Madrid, Spain, where he organized the VIII Triple Helix Conference. Since January/2011 he is Dean of the School of Human and Social Sciences of UFF. Marcelo is also Secretary for Industry of Triple Helix Association and member of ISPIM.
