Csonka László

László Csonka is Research Fellow at IKU Innovation Research Centre, Financial Research Corp. He has been working there since 2001 and recently finished his doctoral studies and received PhD degree at the Corvinus University of Budapest. In his thesis he investigated the role of R&D and innovation networks in upgrading the capabilities and innovativeness of Hungarian enterprises.

Recently he was acting as an expert of the National Office for Research and Technology in the ERA-Net project COMPERA on competence research centres and in the CREST working group on industry-led competence centres.

His research interest includes the networking and collaborations in the field of R&D and innovation (RDI), the internationalisation of RDI, the interaction of multinational companies with the local economies, university-industry collaborations, RDI activities of SMEs, investigations of the systems of innovation. His recent research papers include ‘Regional University Knowledge Centres: in search for regional benefits’ in Social Research (2010), or ‘R&D and innovation networks in the Hungarian automotive industry: Different structure with similar impact? (in Hungarian)’ in Vezetéstudomány (2011).
